Moving to Bali.

Some people tend to think that it is as simple as anything to move to Bali. Well, to tell the truth it is a mistake to think so. Bali is a wonderful place to visit indeed. And there are many people who dream of visiting Bali and living over there permanently. But it is not that easy as it seems to be at first sight. If you want to move to Bali just try to avoid some mistakes. It would be challenging.

Many people think that it is easy to find a job in Indonesia. Well, they are sure that they would teach English. Of course, it is not bad. But at the same time the competition is extremely high. Moreover they wouldn’t pay you much as it is well known that unemployment in Indonesia is still high. So what’s the point to hire a foreigner while there are lots of unemployed Indonesians.

Before moving to Bali try to learn the Indonesian culture including its laws as much as possible. It is very important to get acquainted with its traditions and customs. As the rule foreigners are unprotected and quite vulnerable if they get in trouble. There is no any sense to compare your culture and Indonesian culture. We are different. Just keep it in mind.

Some foreigners are sure that it is pretty cheap to live in Bali. Well, it is partly true. Of course the cost of living in Bali would be lower than in your country. But do not forget about health insurance and other things you have to pay for in Bali as an expat.

Remember that the climate in Indonesia is tropical. It means that it would be difficult to avoid the heat, the wet and the dust. It is not a paradise. Just think if you are ready to it. Take care!
